“Spanning between past, present, and future, The Dragon and the Rose Chronicles: The Life of the Zodiac by Robert M. Lorenz is a journey exploring the creation of the Zodiacs, their meanings and how they reflect each aspect of humanity. Among the twelve is Leo, who is the balance between Darkness and Light. Taurus, the creator of laws that show us how to treat one another and Cancer, which represents the importance of love and family. Combining mythology, religion, astrology, and science, we see the creation of Darkness and Light as the battle for power, and the search for certainty. What really is the truth of the Universe and the Creator? The world has many unanswered mysteries and unexplained phenomena, and mankind has never been able to agree on the truth. Who, if anyone, holds the answer?

The Dragon and the Rose Chronicles: The Life of the Zodiac by Robert M. Lorenz is such a unique concept for a book, combining mythology, science, astrology, and religion. The author invites you to open your mind to the idea that maybe there is a link between them all. The subject matter and descriptive narrative entranced me. The plot is exciting, and has many twists and turns throughout, each exploring the behavior of mankind. The characters are rich and interesting and they support the entire concept of the book well. This is not just a book on the battle between Darkness and Light, but a vehicle for you to question everything you ‘know’ to be true. It will ignite thought patterns in your mind regarding why we believe in certain religions, or hold certain beliefs about the world. It also encourages you to become more self-aware and not just accept a version of the truth that you have been taught. The message in this amazing book will stay with you long after the final page is turned. Hopefully, you can take what you have learned and begin to look at the world with a more logical point of view.”-Reviewed By Lesley Jones for Readers’ Favorite

“There are twelve signs of the Zodiac, each belonging to one of the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth. Each sign has its own strengths and weaknesses, its own traits that affect life and people. Each sign is represented by an image that empowers the sign’s strengths and weaknesses. The signs are often studied to understand what has happened, what is happening and what will happen. The signs of the Zodiac are not so different from other symbolism studied and followed around the world: mysticism, mythology, religion, and science. When Cheno, first known as Enoch until after the Tower of Babel, is commissioned with the task of studying the twelve signs of the Zodiac, he is taken on a long journey from the beginning of human time to well into the future.

Robert M. Lorenz’s The Dragon and the Rose Chronicles: The Life of the Zodiac is an intense and complicated story that weaves around multiple beliefs and forms of mysticism. The plot is the long journey that Cheno must pursue to find the true depth and meaning of the Zodiac signs. It begins with the formation of the signs. Written in the first person, Cheno tells his own narrative of his journey of discovery. The Zodiac signs are created from humans and infused with the traits characteristic of the image they depict. The first of the twelve Zodiac signs is the lion. This symbolizes the creation of the sphere and his roar “brings balance to nature”. And so he was named Leo.

The plot develops as the twelve signs are formed and the world moves through the cycles symbolized by each sign. But there are elements of good and evil which must sort out their differences until order and good are restored. The story is very thorough in its understanding and presentation of the many forms of symbolism. This is the first in a series, aimed to help readers comprehend how life is affected by the Zodiac and so many other forces around us.”-Reviewed By Emily-Jane Hills Orford for Readers’ Favorite
